Dominos

Hey Guys,

Here is a little story God gave to me when I was writing to a friend. Really read it and take it to heart.

  • Picture this........
  • A long row of dominos....
  • Each standing tall and proud......
  • At one end is a large rock
  • At the other end....
  • A hand suddenly strikes the end domino....
  • Causing a chain reaction.
  • As on falls, it leans on the other....
  • causing it to fall....
  • As this reaction reaches the other end....
  • It comes closer and closer to that final domino.....
  • Gaining more momentum as it goes.
  • When that last domino is struck, it begins to fall....
  • Then....
  • Suddenly....
  • It stops
  • ....
  • It finds that it didn't fall, because it was now resting on the rock.
  • ....
  • It didn't matter how many dominos came before....
  • Causing this great force...
  • Because in the end....
  • The rock, would stop the fall.
  • ....
  • Jesus is the rock.
  • We are the dominos.
  • The one who finds themselves next to the rock...
  • May lean.....
  • But will never fall.

Sunday Night - An Interesting Story

Hey All..... Sunday night I caught the train to Thirroul to go to South Coast City Church. It was very good... awesome music, good speaker, and I met even more people my age (so exciting, I'm actually making friends....lol). There is a guy from Toronto (Canada) that goes to the church... fellow Canadian.. YES!!! Unfortunately he's moving away in a couple weeks (finished uni so his visa is running out) so people are saying he's passing on the baton to me as the Canadian in the church.....lol. Anyway, the interesting story....

In the service, right before they were taking up the offering, I felt like something was saying to me "How much does the train ride home cost?" so I thought, well it costs $2.80, but I need this to get home. Then I felt like "Just put it in". SO I did, and then after the service one of the guys offered to give me a ride home. Cool eh?

New Youth Group

Well, it has been a little while since I made a post.... last friday I checked out a youth group at a local church (Oasis doesn't have one). The church is called South Coast City Church. Thier youth group is called Pure Youth. The website isn't the greatest but it lets in a little light. I'm heading to their Sunday night service tonight so I'll post up more after that.

New Hair-Cut: New Pictures

Hi All,

Well yet another eventful past week...

Last sunday was a full day, with 2 services happening at Oasis. I played in both services and met up with our 2 guest speakers. They were from a church farther north, that is in affiliation with our church, and came down to share their story and help the elders of the church. It was a great time of spiritual and physical healing and insight into what God has in store.

Monday and Tuesday I worked on 2 new website projects I just found out about, which will give me some more income for school!! Very excited, with some first drafts looking very promising...

Yesterday I went and got my haircut. It was definately something that had to happen, with summer months coming and my vision fading....lol... CLICK HERE to check out some photos.

After I got my haircut, I went to work. Can't say it was my best work experience... I am definately not used to working under humidity, especially in a hot kitchen, and thus was slowed down even more. I am not a fast moving person to begin with, which made for some uneasy blame taking when work wasn't done by closing. This job really isn't for me... but it is a job and I will do it as long as I have to. Keep praying for me!! :D

Tired....

Hey All,

I haven't written an entry for a while, so I thought it was time to!

I worked all day today. The cafe was the busiest I've ever seen it, and apparently the busiest it has been for a while. Thankfully, there was a mix up in the schedule and two of us showed up for the same job spot.... so we both worked, therefore adding an extra person for that day. It was definately needed.

I've been working on a new fishing video for my mom's business, creating and mixing soundtracks, mixing video clips, etc. I've been using a new program we just recently bought called Final Cut Express HD. It allows for much more hands on editing than a program like iMovie, producing a professional product. I'm looking to someday make a music video with this technology, but for now, video work I've made will be in my Videos section.

There have been a few personal song ideas floating around lately, which is good. Ideas and some final mixes will be posted on MacJams.com, where as my music section will mainly be for final products. Here is a link to my profile.

It's been great talking to you all on msn lately and if anybody doesn't have my addy: adpolyester@hotmail.com.
